Fish Report 8/26/25

It’s August! Lots of food in the lakes and a lot of the fish are well fed. Under the right conditions, things can be good but the best fishing is coming up later this fall. We continue to fish many of the lakes in and around the Brainerd area. Some of the walleyes are showing themselves on the humps and deep water points. We’ve been catching them on a variety of baits, but my favorite is rigging with chubs. I haven’t been fishing deeper than 25’, but as the days continue to get shorter the fish will eventually move deeper. Call or text Shelley to book a trip! 218-839-5598

I hope you all had a nice weekend! We celebrated the 250th anniversary of our country in Bozeman, MT, by welcoming our 2nd grandchild into this world. Back on the water tomorrow, and it's going to be a scorcher. We are well into our season, and the guides have been doing a lot of trips! Some walleyes are cooperating, but many of the folks we fish with this time of year are looking for action....

Good evening! The water temperature is up into the mid-sixties, and fishing action is picking up. People always ask when the best time to fish is, and I say June and October.
