Fish Report 5/04/26

Good morning! The countdown is on, 5 days until the 2026 MN Fishing Opener. Are you ready? I’m not either, in fact I pick up my new Premier pontoon tomorrow afternoon in Big Lake, MN. This is an exciting time, but it will be a bit of a hurry and scurry to get things rigged and loaded and ready for Saturday morning. But we will get it done! The Minnesota spring weather is right on par, all over the board. But as we move towards opening day, it looks like we will have a warmup. We are all booked up with customers on opener, and it should be a great day, and topped off with a Wild win. I’m not sure how we are going to catch those walleyes on opener, but the Elliott Rods will be rigged with a number of different baits, and we will just have to see what they want! We have ice! And we still do have snow on the ground here in central Minnesota. But it's going to get NICE very soon and we will have the boats/toons back on the open water. It looks like it’s been awhile, I’m sorry. It has been quite the busy winter season, and that would account for my tardiness. We have been on the ice a lot and fishing a number of the area lakes.
