It looks like it’s been awhile, I’m sorry. It has been quite the busy winter season, and that would account for my tardiness. We have been on the ice a lot and fishing a number of the area lakes. We have had a lot of families out on the ice and have done a number of corporate outings as well. Fishing overall has been decent, with more good days than bad. The Ice Pro fish houses that we have been using have been getting put through the tests of a pretty good Minnesota winter. If you are looking for a extremely lightweight and versatile fish house, look up Ice Pro Trailers online. Minnesota made. We do see the light at the end of the ice hole and we are already booking a lot of open water trips for the 2026 season. It looks like we will be finishing out the ice season on a strong note and hopefully the fish cooperate. You know the old saying, “you’re only as good as your last trip”, well then we were good. I had Mike and Chuck out last night and we caught a big one, some small ones and a couple of 19 plus inchers for the pan. We caught them on both tip-ups and jigging spoons tipped with minnow heads. Thankfully the temperatures are moderating and this should make for good fishing and easier going on the ice. Call Shelley to book both your ice and open water trips at 218-839-5598.
Bye for now!,
Walleyedan
