Hello from the BLA! The ice is receding from the shorelines and getting soft. I was out yesterday afternoon in the SnoBear on Gull pout fishing. We had 16” of ice with the top half a bit on the soft side. The burbot spawn is winding down, but we did still see a number of them and landed 1. With the cool nights, I’m thinking the ice will hang on for a bit yet. Crappies, sunnies and perch are still fair game (with a current fishing license) and this time of year they are chowing down! Walk quietly and hop from hole to hole in the shallows and you should score!! We guide 365 days a year, so if you have the itch, call Shelley at 218-839-5598.

“Dan is an incredible guide. He is personable and knows the Brainerd Lakes area like none other. I suggest anybody who wants to get into fishing and doesn’t want to spend all the time and money to try to figure out how to catch ‘em to just hired Dan and his team!”

“Four of us booked a four hour fishing trip with Walleyedan. Our guide was Dustin and he was so friendly and engaging with a wealth of knowledge and tips . We caught the amount of fish we wanted for a fish fry and man were they tasty. Besides Dustin’s skills, his friendly personality made the day. We HIGHLY recommend Walleyedan’s guide service.”

“Wonderful experience!! Our guide Chuck picked us up from our resort and was incredibly sweet. One person in our group had never touched a rod and landed a 42 inch plus musky. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!!”
