Well, it sure has been a beautiful fall thus far and the extended forecast looks pretty good too. The walleyes have been eating quite well most days, and the “other whitetails” are on the move! So, when traveling these roads in the BLA be aware of deer. Shelley and I drilled one with the CRV about a month or so ago and I drilled a 9 pointer with my compound bow the other night. He came into a buck decoy, and I let fly when he was at about 25 yards. I did make a nice shot, and he only traveled about 40 yards before expiring. I am feeling pretty good to have tagged a nice buck, so I can get back on the water and finish out my “list” of fishers. I might have to try and bag a gobbler before Nov. 2 too. The walleyes have been eating big chubs and also jigs and rainbow chubs. I have been fishing 20-45′ and catching a variety of sizes. Our biggest of the fall was caught by Jimmy, and that one was a 29 incher. I’m the last one fishing, and I have sold my Premier, so another week and I’ll be done. Unless you want to hire me and we will take your boat! 😉 We have been booking ice fishing trips, so if you want to get out on the ice call now to book. I’ll be doing guided SnoBear and Ice Pro trips and Dustin and Alex will be guiding out of the new Ice Pro’s as well! To book, call or text Shelley 218-839-5598 or email us at walleyedan@walleyedan.com. We are looking forward to a beautiful winter on the ice!,

p.s. Happy and safe hunting (and fishing)
